120/398This Monster 15 point (possible 16) was taken in Chemung NY on November 05 2019 at 4:43 pm By Gregory Vaughn. Sitting over a soybean field Greg got into his stand at around 4 pm trying to get just a little time in the woods in between work and family obligations. Not even 2 minutes later it started to pour! Typical upstate weather. With wind gust rains and cold temps Greg stayed in his stand just a bit longer. As he was about to give up this and climb out of his stand...he spotted this beauty walking through a corn field behind his stand. He quickly got his release back on and looked at the yardage...about 40 yards. Greg drew back and let out a Grunt. The big boy stopped walking and he let go of the arrow with a hit just behind the shoulder. Greg called the boys and they went out looking for this prize with his wife and 13 year old daughter. After about 25 minutes of cold dark rain we found him about 100 yards from the tree stand. A once and a lifetime buck in our hometown!

162/398Photo by Charles MurphyLast day youth season .. My daughter Alexis and I only had about 3 and a half hours the last day of the youth hunt to be able to hunt ... So my wife , Alexis and myself made the 1 hour drive to a friend's farm jumped in the blind and sat for about 20 mins .. I didn't like where we we're set up at ,so we moved about 150 yards down the hedge row. My wife (lex) and myself we're only sitting in the spot about half hour when the little buck stepped out . I asked lex if she wanted to try the shot she said yes she felt good about shooting that far . The buck was 144 yards out, she was shooting a rifle she was comfortable with my 6.5 creedmoor Mossberg Patriot . When the rifle went off the buck did the mule kick I knew he was hit good but he bolted about 15 yards and fell over dead . We all walked up to the buck shaking and full of adrenaline , her first and not last buck was down we all hugged and started the picture process.

251/398Photo by Jeffrey HartHello, I as a father am so proud of my Daughter Megan Hart, at an early age she has had a desire to be in the hunting woods. So I would take her with me hunting before she had a hunting licence just to see if she really wanted to be there. She did !!!! and as the years went by and she had finally become old enough to get her licence and hunt along side of me, I was so happy!!! Her 1st year out in the woods with a gun in her hands she showed me that she was listening to me all those years. I was in the blind with her that day and she had 4 bucks come to her in a line first one was a button buck, 2nd one was a 6 point and she allowed it to walk by, the 3rd one was an 8 point and when he got to the opening in the woods he looked straight up the hill at us with tail up, so even though there was another coming down the run I knew that it was about to go bad so I told her to take the shot and she did with a perfect heart shot !!! WOW !! I was so proud of my little girl !!! Then the following year she found out that Its not always so easy to get that nice buck and she ate her tags that year but I was even more proud of her for doing that rather than kill a small buck. Then on her 3rd year in the woods she was sitting by herself now and I had full confidence in her abilities as a hunter, she had been following me around in the woods for many years at this point. Well so far this year she has me beat and its almost over I still have not harvested my buck while she has yet another nice buck down, an ADK Mtn. 10 point WOW !!! again I am overwhelmed with happiness and am the proudest father for miles hahahahaha !!! I have truly raised my hunting partner for life !!! here is a pic of her harvest this year in the ADK Mtns.

252/398Photo by Keith KellarKeith Kellar shot this buck in Wayne County. I had trail cam pictures of this buck in 2015. My cam was out all year to see if he made it through last year and I had nothing. So I decided not to hunt there that much because he wasn't there I hunted elsewhere. On November 11, 2016 the wind was cranking in the tree I was in so I decided to move to my hang on stand. At 3:45 I see this monster buck walking away and then all of the sudden a doe pops out between me and him. He walks with her and I thought he was 40 yards and I shot but he's only 30 and it goes right over his back. So he hops in a thicket and she is still hanging out. An hour goes by and now it's 4:40. She walks down to me and I'm taking a video and after a minute of that all of a sudden here he comes out of that thicket. I put my phone in my pocket and draw my bow 20 yards and I shoot. I grab my phone again to start videoing him. My shot was back a little so I decided to wait till my buddies show up. We start tracking and couldn't find him. Blood stopped just before this posted property. So I call and I have to show him the video in the morning and he said yeah go look for it. Waiting till one of my other friend shows up and we start tracking. We walk found some more fresh blood and there he is . We are just amazed at the size of this deer. I thank the man upstairs for this beautiful animal.

385/398First snow-fall of the year, a good night to be checking scrapes
This big guy wasn't camera shy. He came in several times a week, but always at 2 am : /

386/398Big boy on an October "community scrape"
This was the first shot of this big guy that I took 20 yards from my tree-stand. Sadly, he never came through in daylight.

388/398Sign-post rub
I found this rub 2 years ago. Every deer in the area seems to use it. Rubs like this one are used primarily for communication. Most pics I've gotten at this rub have been during daylight hours. I have yet to shoot anything here but, I think I've found a goldmine. Problem is it's two miles back into the Adirondack high peaks.

389/3982010 Buck
This is the buck I was after last season. I saw him once, but got no shot. I hope he wintered well.

390/398Owl At Night
This owl landed right in front of the trail camera with wings outspread. Great Photo. Thanks to my wife for buying this camera for me.

392/398First Trail Camera-First Several Bucks
This is my first time ever using a trail camera. I am very excited to have this up over a soy bean field where we have been experiencing a high level activity of bucks this summer. We know of a couple 10s, at least five 8s, several 6s, 4s, and spikes and in between. I went to Bass Pro Shops and spoke with a Moultrie Salesman who truly knew and understood his product because he sold myself and my buddy two Moultrie M-80s. This is within 24 hours of our first set up on Camera 1. Enjoy!
