I caught this 8.7 pound, 28.5 inch Walleye (my biggest walleye ever) at Lake of the Woods, MN, Saturday, February 16th, at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. We paid Adrian's resort to use their road and drove 17 miles out onto the lake. I caught the walleye on a size 5 Rip'n Rap Uv pink colored and was fishing 10 ft down in 33 ft deep of water because I saw the big red mark on my hummingbird at that depth. Shortly after jigging a little above the red mark the fish crushed my lure and I knew it was going to be my biggest walleye ever from the bend the fish gave in my rod. It was a 3 minute fight until the head of the fish finally turned into the hole. I quickly unhooked the fish, took a measurement, weight and a picture then released the fish. I'll never forget catching my biggest walleye ever on a Rip'n Rap suspended only 10 ft below the ice in 33 ft deep on water!
