Southeast Minnesota Fishing Report - October 19th, 2012

Posted on October 18, 2012

FARIBAULT AREA

Fishing reports have been limited, mainly because there hasn’t been many people on area lakes. Hunting reports also have been poor for ducks and pheasants, but turkey hunters seem to be shooting more birds than last fall.

RED WING AREA

Walleyes and sauger have started hitting a jig and minnow below the dam on the Mississippi River in five feet. On Lake Pepin, the No Point area is holding crappies and sunfish in five to seven feet. Duck hunting continues to be consistently good and archery hunters have started seeing bigger bucks on the move.
