Northwest Minnesota Fishing Report - May 10th, 2013
There was ice floating around Tuesday, but small lakes are expected to be open this weekend. Crappie anglers have started working a few bays and haven’t found many fish, but that will change as the water warms.

Most small lakes or those with water flowing through should be ice-free this weekend, while the big lakes such as Fish Hook, Island, and Itasca likely won’t be. Those small lakes will be the best options for walleyes and panfish on opening weekend, but the shallow panfish bite had not started earlier this week.
