Warm, dry weather may cause low trout waters - Southcentral Report

Raystown Lake (Huntingdon County)

Timothy Collins, of Central City, caught a trophy brown trout weighing 14½ pounds and measuring 30-plus inches, in the tailrace while targeting muskies with a plug and tube combo Feb. 29.

Yellow Creek (Bedford County)

Steve Cook’s 23.5-inch brook trout released on a Sculpin-pattern streamer in the special regulations section Dec. 30 was confirmed as the biggest brookie caught in the state last year. It weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces.
