Northeast Pennsylvania Fishing Report - January 31st, 2013

Susquehanna River (Columbia, Luzerne counties)

Cold weather reduced fishing activity in early to mid-January. Anglers reported walleyes and smallmouth bass on soft plastics.

Briar Creek Lake (Columbia County)

A state trout stocking is slated for Feb. 1.

Lakes Irena, Took-a-While, Moon (Luzerne County)

State trout stockings are slated for Feb. 1.

Lily Lake (Luzerne County)

A state trout stocking is slated for Feb. 4.

Promised Land Lake (Pike, Monroe counties)

Limits of yellow perch and panfish were reported with the early morning hours producing the biggest fish. This Panfish Enhancement Program fishery also is noted for its nice-size pickerel. 

Hidden Lake (Monroe County)

A state trout stocking is slated for Feb. 4.

Delaware River

Nice-size walleye were reported by boat and shore anglers. Boaters are cautioned about floating ice chunks at this time of year.

Lackawanna Lake (Lackawanna County)

A state trout stocking is slated for Feb. 4.

Little Pine Lake (Lycoming County)

A state trout stocking is slated for Feb. 4.

Bradford City No. 3 Reservoir (McKean County)

A state trout stocking is slated for Feb. 4.

Upper Woods Pond (Wayne County)

A state trout stocking is slated for Feb. 4.
