Southwest Pennsylvania Fishing Report - February 15th, 2013

North Park Lake (Allegheny County)

A state trout stocking was slated for Feb. 13.

Raccoon Creek Lake (Beaver County)

A state trout stocking was slated for Feb. 11.

Brady’s Run Lake (Beaver County)

A winter trout stocking Jan. 23 kept ice anglers busy the following weekend. Moderate yields and some limits were reported on paste baits near the boat launch. Trout and bluegills also were reported on jigs fished near the bottom.

Highpoint Lake (Somerset County)

Ice anglers caught northern pike up to 30 inches on jumbo shiners through at least the end of January. Chain pickerel around 22 inches also were reported, along with largemouth bass and a few 12- to 13-inch yellow perch.

Laurel Hill Lake (Somerset County)

A state trout stocking was slated for Feb. 6.

Youghiogheny River

The tailrace was slated for a state trout stocking Feb. 6.

Donegal, Mammoth lakes (Westmoreland County)

State trout stockings were slated for Feb. 11.

Twin lakes No. 1 and 2 (Westmoreland County)

State trout stockings were slated for Feb. 13.

Allegheny River (Armstrong County)

Pool six was yielding muskies from 36 to 50 inches in January.

Crooked Creek Lake (Armstrong County)

A nice crappie bite was reported in the outflow in January.

Duman Reservoir, Lake Rowena (Cambria County)

State trout stockings were slated for Feb. 13.

Canonsburg Dam (Washington County)

A state trout stocking was slated for Feb. 11.
