Tough economy doesn't dampen mood at Tinley Park Fishing Show

With the bad economy and high unemployment rates in Illinois, spending money is at a minimum for most of the state's sportsmen. However, this didn't stop people from supporting local businesses that were present at the Tinley Park Fishing Show. Overall, from what I saw during my visit to the show this year, the attendance was a bit light, but all those that I talked to were really enjoying the show.

Rich Komar and crew run a show that gets better and better with every year. The show is full of great vendors, charter captains, and tackle dealers. If you can't find what you are looking for at the show then you probably don't need it.

I was fortunate enough to talk with several of our subscribers and it was a pleasure to get all the positive feedback about the publication. It was certainly a great honor to meet with all those that read the publication on a regular basis and to listen to any comments or suggestions that they had.

It was a nice way to kick off the open water fishing season - even if prematurely.
