South Central Pennsylvania Fishing Report - December 21st, 2012
Stovers Dam (Lebanon County)
Rainbow trout were hitting on live bait and spinners.
Little Juniata River (Huntingdon County)
Low clear conditions were reported Dec. 7, but fishing remained fairly productive. Brown trout were still in spawning mode, so anglers were urged to wade carefully to avoid redds. Water was in the 50s. Large stonefly, caddis and streamer patterns were effective; so, too, was stripping Woolly Buggers. A few caddis and blue-winged olives were hatching. TCO Fly Shop reported Green Weenies (12-14), Green Caddis Larvae (14-18), and Zuddlers (4-8) were hot patterns.
