Southwest Pennsylvania Fishing Report – July 4th, 2014
Allegheny River — A good catfish bite was reported, along with some small saugers near Lock Three, and small walleyes near Lock Four in recent weeks.
North Park Lake (Allegheny County) — Bass were reported on crawlers in recent weeks.
Monongahela, Youghiogheny rivers (Fayette, Greene counties) — Walleyes, bass and catfish were reported through mid-June.
Green Lick Reservoir (Fayette County) — Panfish and bass were reported along with the occasional channel catfish as conditions allowed, in recent weeks.
Virgin Run Lake, Dunlap Creek Lake (Fayette County) — Bluegills and crappies were reported in both small impoundments in recent weeks.
Acme Dam (Westmoreland County) — Boaters on this 24-acre fishery were catching bluegills and a few crappies, mostly on minnows, in recent weeks. Shore anglers were catching a few bass and bullheads on crawlers.
Lake Wilma (Greene County) — Panfish were reported on this 19-acre impoundment in recent weeks.
Keystone Lake (Armstrong County) — Numbers of bluegills and some crappies were reported in recent weeks.
