South Central Pennsylvania Fishing Report – January 17th, 2014

Little Juniata River (Huntingdon, Blair counties) — Good conditions were reported Jan. 4, with water a nice green color and in the upper 30s. Small nymphs and streamers were productive. Trout were in their winter holding lies in the deeper pools. Hatches included midges (20-24). TCO Fly Shop recommended Zebra Midges (18-22), Hare’s Ears (14-16), Bead-headed Pheasant Tails (14-16), Green Caddis Larva (14-18), Zuddlers (4-8), and Slump Busters (4-8).
