Finger Lake Fishing Report – January 10th, 2014
Cayuga Lake: Not hearing anything lately.
Seneca Lake: Anglers still getting out in boats were catching a mixed bag of Atlantic salmon, brown trout, and some lake trout, but the window of opportunity has been very limited lately with the wintry weather. Fishing near the surface with stick baits, spoons or streamers is working for the salmon and brown trout.
Canandaigua Lake: Nothing to report.
Keuka Lake: No report.
Owasco Lake: Not hearing anything of late.
Skaneateles Lake: Nothing to report.
Susquehanna, Chenango, Tioughnioga and Unadilla rivers: Changing weather conditions have kept fishing to a minimum.
Whitney Point Reservoir: Nothing to report, but the recent cold snap may give hope that the annual crappie derby will be held later this month (Jan. 25).
