Southeast Pennsylvania Fishing Report – February 15th, 2013
Saucon, Monocacy, Bushkill creeks (Northampton County)
A spate of mild weather in late January brought anglers to these trout streams. Spin fishermen were releasing fish on minnows and bread, and fly anglers were doing well on woolly buggers and small nymphs. The slower pools were producing the best yields.
Smallmouth bass were hitting from shore around Bethlehem and Freemansburg areas.
Tulpehocken Creek (Berks County)
Water was blown out and unfishable Feb. 2. Midges (18-22) were hatching.
Ontelaunee Reservoir (Berks County)
Nice catches of crappies, including some slabs, were iced as late as Feb. 2.
East Branch Brandywine, Middle Branch White Clay creeks (Chester County)
State trout stockings are slated for Feb. 21.
French, Pickering, Valley creeks (Chester County)
State trout stockings are slated for Feb. 20.
