Spotted a single albino deer just East of Fort Atkinson, WI on 9/15/2017 and stopped in road to take some pictures. The smaller deer kept looking back across the field waiting for it's mother. Soon the mother entered the field and slowly walked to meet her yearling. I sat in my car and enjoyed the show for about 10 minutes and took over 20 pictures of the two. Very cool.
This hen turkey and her little babies were roosted in a pine tree just outside my bedroom window. I think there were about 8 little ones but they were huddled quite close together. June 2016, North of Augusta, WI.
Turkey Hen with 3 legs and 2 sets of tail feathers. I was hoping to get more photos but the other hens saw me in the window and flew off. This photo was taken in my back yard in Germantown Wisconsin. This is an original photo not photo shopped in any way. photo by Bob Eastman
Some bird species that live on flying insects saw the biggest declines, including the chimney swift, the Eastern phoebe and the tree swallow. But even the more common blue jay saw a 25-percent decline over the survey years between 1989 and 2013.
This buck came in to my fine turkey calling and decoy. He stayed around for about 20 minutes and he was so close I could touch him. I took this photo with my flip phone around Cross Plains Wisconsin on Oct 27.
This photo was taken on the grounds where i work. Since last year this Canada goose has become a sort of companion to this farm goose. This spring i noticed that they had mated and produced a mixed offspring. I thought it was really cool to see this.
