Northeast Pennsylvania Fishing Report – November 9th, 2012
Bigger smallmouth bass were being released in mid to late October, and the fall trout bite was active.
Brady’s Lake (Monroe County)
Nice perch and crappies were reported in falling temperatures.
Bushkill Creek, Minsi Lake (Northampton County)
Crawlers, paste baits and spinners were catching recently stocked trout, with fish moving to deeper water in mid- to late-October. Anglers fishing the middle pier and dam breast were more successful than those fishing from shore along the boat launches. Crappies turned on at Minsi, with anglers catching nice fish up to 15 inches by trolling minnows over weedbeds.
Hokendauqua, Saucon, Monocacy, Martins creeks (Northampton County)
Beadhead Hare’s Ears, Pheasant Tails, Prince Nymphs and other basic nymphs were catching nice fish. A few blue-winged olives were reported on cloudy days.
