Jeff McGlade, a 21-year old business student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, spent a weekend in Scotland while studying abroad in Barcelona Spain this past Spring to go fishing with a guide on Portmore Loch (Scottish for lake) about 15 miles South of Edinburgh, Scotland . Jeff was fishing in wadders from the shore with a spin casting reel and rod with live fish bait. Jeff caught and released this 38 inch, 15 lb. Northern Pike. Jeff hometown is Palatine, IL. Looks like the famous Loch Ness Monster!
Kolby Cauemaker, of Atkinson, with help from her brother Knox, caught and released a nice largemouth bass that was over 5 lbs. It was caught in late May on a Barbie pole rigged with a black and blue chatter bait.
I caught this monster in local lake early March from the bank. I had a spinning rod with a whitechatterbait and saw something big breach the water about 70 yards to my right. I walk over and caught him on the 3rd cast !
